Al-Madaniya is one of YPC’s projects in its media program. Implemented since 2017, it is funded by the German Institute for Foreign Affairs (IFA). In the last three years the magazine has developed into Yemen’s prime online magazine on culture, civil society and gender. It creates a space for intellectuals to share their ideas about Yemen’s society and history; a space for young Yemenis to showcase their talents; a place where Yemen gets to be civil, rather than militarized. We are proud of the achievements of the magazine and are looking forward to see it continue progressing in the years to come.
